desiary.de recently decided to migrate from Oxid to Shopware 6 as its e-commerce platform of choice. The goal was for the new e-commerce solution to offer more agility, thus ensuring the company is well positioned for the future. Having a user-friendly interface and easy-to-use content management were further requests in this project. With the help of Shopware 6 and Shopware’s partner Proxation, this was achieved and implemented successfully.
With the Shopware 6 experience worlds, specific products in the desiary.de shop are accentuated in the form of a magazine. The magazine enables new content to be presented to customers in an easy and efficient way and a variety of products to be advertised as well. Special features such as a colour search or a gift finder make the shop stand out from the crowd.In addition to experience worlds, Shopware 6 also left a good impression with its Social Shopping feature. This component is included in the Shopware 6 Professional Edition.
Social Shopping makes more sales channels available, enabling a simple integration into the usual social media channels. This way, desiary operates its shop using an administration interface, Google Shopping and Facebook.
The shop is operated on a managed server provided by Shopware’s hosting partner Profihost who looks after the technical setup. The agency also connected the shop with Plentymarkets, a merchandise management system.
The desiary.de shop was implemented in as little as 12 weeks by Shopware’s partner agency Proxation. This collaboration was highly satisfactory. As desiary managing director Julia Ritter positively puts it: “Working with Proxation was professional and quick at all times. desiary.de is especially looking forward to implementing the remaining social media integration in the shop. Also, completing the feeds is high on the agenda. Apart from that, the company is looking forward to a successful pre-Christmas period with its new Shopware 6 shop.
